Family Christian Center is all about people just like you – we are diverse, multi-cultural, young and old, rich and not-so-rich, married and single. But we all have this in common – we love Jesus with all our heart, we believe His Word, and we want everyone to know how good He is. Our worship is passionate, & our messages are always challenging, relevant, & never boring!
Whether you’re single, married, single again, with or without children – no matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done – we invite you to experience the difference here. Jesus loves you just the way you are! Family Christian Center is made up of less than perfect people, just like you, following Jesus – it’s a place where hurts are healed, needs are met, and dreams become reality.
Family Christian Center, born as Evangelistic Temple, has been a part of the Northwest Indiana/Chicagoland community for over 50 years. Under the dynamic leadership of Senior Pastors Steve & Melodye Munsey, FCC continues to make a vital impact the region and across the nation. FCC is dedicated to reaching the lost at any cost, building the Church and establishing God’s Kingdom. FCC has gained a national reputation for the innovative use of the visual and dramatic arts. Pairing time-honored values of the founders, Bishop Frank & Ruth Munsey, with cutting edge leadership, FCC has become one of the fastest growing churches in America, expanding to multiple campuses (City Church – Chicago, IL) through the leadership of Pastors Kent & Alli Munsey.
Following the example of Jesus, Family Christian Center is committed to showing God’s love to a hurting world. Through the ministry of Operation Care, 5 million tons of food have been distributed to local families. The hospital ministry sends chaplains to 23 local hospitals. Those in 5 prisons in the Northwest Indiana-Chicagoland area receive hope for a new life through FCC’s prison ministry. In addition, FCC provides spiritual and financial help to missionaries in more than 10 countries, supporting orphanages, schools and churches through world missions. Locally, FCC is building lives through Equip, a ministry that provides free classes from quality instructors on a wide variety of subjects. In addition, those who are interested in a career in full time ministry have the opportunity to receive hands on training through FCC’s Cross College.
